 - DisappointmentI have owned my Garmin gps for over two years and have loved it. In addition, I use my gps both personally and professionally in home repair. One of the main reasons that I bought this update was that I couldn't find addresses in the newer subdivisions which are 2-5 years old. The update didn't improve that issue at all and for the first time the gps gave me wrong directions (told me to turn down a one way street in a old established neighborhood). To be quite honest, I haven't seen any benefit to buying the update, as a result I am very disappointed. Rating: - NOT WORTH IT.......DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEYI can't see a difference at all from the 2008 map. Some roads and points of interests are still outdated. The only differnce I got are those new fancy CARS running on my GPS which is I haven't paid for. Installation problems with the DVD i ordered. It seems they don't work on some computers. I called support twice but non was able to help. I even have somebody from them remotely tweeked my computer but none solved it. I've tried running the set-up on 4 four different computers but i got errors except for the last one and it took me almost 3 hours to complete the whole set-up even though I am using a descent fast computer and internet connection. And lastly the set-up erased the old map. I thought i would have given a choice of where to save it during the set-up. I was anticipating that the file would be big so i took out my 4 gig media card from my camera and put it on my device but sadly I don't have a choice. The process has been a hell for me as a regular,average,and non-techy consumer. The update is NOT WORTH IT............................. Thank You..... Rating:  - Garmin Map Update of 2009 City NavigatorThe software arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date. It loaded easily and there were no problems. I checked to see a few local locations had been updated. It did take about an hour or a little longer to load. The high software cost makes it impractical to load more than a couple updates...you would be better off buying a new unit. The original software was about 3 years old when I bought the upgrade. Rating: - Garmin update 2009Garmin Map Update of 2009 City Navigator North America NT Thought this item included North America, Canada and Puerto Rico. However appears it only includes North America. No problems with the upgrade process. Rating:  - Errors in maps are really annoyingI live in a populated area of Fairfield County Connecticut and in my neighborhood, the maps are a mess. 8 years ago Google had mistakes but they are all fixed. Garmin is no help, they say it's not their responsibility. I will now try complaining to the map company directly. No feedback from Garmin support for postings of errors. I got the 2009 update for "free" with new purchase from Amazon, and it is still wrong. At least I didn't need to pay. I am going to have to find a way to fix the map myself. My free software "Amaze GPS" on my BlackBerry is more accurate than my $200 Nuvi. Go figure.
