 - My favorite new kitchen toyI was a bit skeptical over whether or not we needed a kitchen scale at all, but my husband wanted one for his birthday, so I picked this one out for him on Amazon because of all the positive reviews. To my surprise, I found myself using the scale quite frequently for international recipes that call for ingredients in weight, and it performs beautifully. I've had excellent success with these recipes thanks to the scale- and I appreciate its light-weight, yet sturdy construction. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped the scale out of sheer clumsiness and yet it still works perfectly and accurately. It's also really easy to store out of the way on a shelf because it is so slim and lightweight. I love this scale and would totally buy it again or buy it as a gift for other cooking enthused friends. :) Rating: - Terrific multi-use scaleI work out of my home and use this scale for mail as well as in the kitchen for food and ingredients. I have found this scale to be very accurate as well as consistent all along the weight gradient up to the very maximum. My wife and I are thrilled with this purchase. The price is well worth it. I love the tare weight feature. Only thing that I don't like (and someone else also said this) is that it is easy to block the display with very wide items. That doesn't happen very often with food items, but it does come into play when I use it to weigh things before shipping them. Rating: - good scalei like this scale. it's perfect for my purposes, and it's red, my favorite color. i often measure portions of food, and this scale is perfect for that purpose. it can gives results in either ounces or grams. Rating:  - I'm sure it's functional, but...I'm sure it's functional, but it looks rather ugly. Needing a kitchen scale, I made a quick and un-researched buying decision based on the strength of the reviews for this product. In particular, one of the first reviews I read was "the scales are very attractive," and so I hit buy without a second thought. Upon receipt though, my take is that it's not terrible but it does look rather like something you'd pick up in Chinatown. Cheap plastic, cheap "chrome" paint, a flimsy feel and a proportionally small measuring surface. I've decided to return it for something a little prettier and a little more expensive. Rating: - GOOD BUYThis product is great. It's inexpensive and gets the job done. Light weight and doesn't take up a lot of space!
