- LOVE THEMThese scales are so accurate! No problems at all!! Love them and work great !! Rating: - Very inaccurateAfter reading so many positive reviews, I was surprised and disappointed by what arrived in the mail today - a flimsy and inaccurate piece of equipment. It's made of thin, bendable plastic and was not nearly as solid as it looks in the photos. Worse, the scale is not even close to accurate. I put a certified 30gm weight onto the scale - which registered five grams. I tried several other items, all registering weights that were wildly off-base. I'll be sending this back! Rating: - Fantastic kitchen scale! Accurate, fast, easy to useWe bought this scale when our old one was dying. The old scale took ages to zero and the weight would change with the slightest shifting of the item being weighed. Not so with this scale. It zeros quickly and has the option of manually turning it off. The weight is accurate, even if you remove an item and place it back on the scale. We use it to measure portion sizes, and so far, it has worked perfectly. Rating: - Perfect! This scale is a great buy. It's accurate and very, very easy to use and doesn't take up a lot of space. It seems to be very well crafted. I use it many times a day and am very happy with the purchase. This in one product I can easily recommend. Rating: - Nice little kitchen toolSo far so good with this scale, which I got to replace a nicer looking American Weigh Scale unit, which unfortunately eats expensive lithium button batteries like there's no tomorrow. This one uses AA batteries, a big advantage by comparison. (Haven't had it long enough to know how long batteries last, though.) Functionally it's a little nicer, too, with a separate button which allows you to switch between English and Metric without turning the scale off and on again. A separate button turns it on (or zeroes it out-- tare function-- if it's already on); it's much less likely to get turned on accidentally than the other unit, which could be an advantage if you were planning to store it in a drawer. It shuts itself off to save the batteries after a while, or you can hold the on/tare button down for a couple of seconds to turn it off manually. As far as accuracy goes, I checked one scale against the other and they gave either identical readings or 1 - 2 gram difference on several objects of various weights up to about 1.5 kg. All in all, it seems to be a nice scale for the money, very compact and easy to use. It works pretty well as a postal scale, too, although a larger package may cover up the display (you can get around this by putting a small flat object or bowl on the scale, using the tare function, then stacking the package on top).
