Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe wants to take Stalag 13 to the big screen by developing and starring in a movie version of Hogan's Heroes. Previously Mel Gibson wanted to play Colonel Hogan but he pursued other projects and  Destination Films, the production company that controlled the Hogan property went under. So the company Revolution got the rights for Hogan's Heroes  and began looking for a big star to play Colonel Robert Hogan.

They found Russell Crowe star of Gladiator. There's no timetable yet or a director but I for one can't wait. Let's get the show on the road fellas
and get this movie out. I don't want to wait as long as it took to get Spiderman rolling.
