I saw the movie the first Friday it came out. I have to say it was awesome. Wolverine and Professor X made the movie. Hugh Jackman did an eXcellent job as Wolverine.  Patrick Stewart was born to be Charles Xavier.

The rest of the cast also did a good job, but the main ingredient behind the entire movie was simply a good story with interesting characters. I usually don't pay money to see movies without explosions or special effects, but if there is no story there all the special effects in the world just make for an expensive waste of time.

X-men has now grossed $154,680,757 in the U.S.A. since its release.

X-men Box Office Champs story from the X-men's debut

'X-Men' Conquers North American Box Office
From comic book superheroes to box office superstars, X-Men stormed the North American box office with a $54.47 million launch, the sixth highest three-day opening ever, a little less than  studio estimates issued on Sunday, but a lot more than they originally thought the film would make. They had originally estimated around 35 million for an opening weekend.  The film stole viewers from the previous weekend's champ, Scary Movie (Miramax Films), which slipped to No. 2 with $26.1 million (10-day total, $89 million). The Perfect Storm (Warner Bros.) fell one place to No. 3 with $17.5 million in its third weekend (17-day total, $128.9 million).
