 In 1976 the world was introduced to Rocky Balboa, a boxer with little money and little hope. This movie series made Sylvester Stallone a household name, and at least for me made boxing an exciting sport. Rocky won best picture at the 1976 Academy Awards with the first movie and increased the action with each new installment of the Rocky series.
