Wii is a home
video game console released by Nintendo. As a seventh-generation console,
the Wii primarily competes with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation
3. Nintendo states that its console targets a broader demographic than that
of the two others. As of December 2009, the Wii leads the generation over
the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in worldwide sales.
Wii Fit is a video game developed by Nintendo for the Wii console. It is an
exercise game consisting of activities using the Wii Balance Board peripheral.
Wii Fit is currently the second best selling videogame in history (among games
not packaged with a console) with 22.5 million copies sold as of October 30,
2009.
