Trivia
- Paramedics Gage and Desoto sometimes crossed paths with Reed and
Malloy from "Adam 12" (1968) at Rampart Hospital. In one
episode, the firefighters are watching "Adam 12" when they
are dispatched to a call. Throughout the rest of the show, the
firemen are on the phone to anyone, trying to find out what they
missed.
- Emergency had a cartoon spin-off called Emergency +4. In the
cartoon, John Gage & Roy DeSoto of Rescue Squad #51, are
aided by a four-kid ambulance crew, which is accompanied by a dog, a
monkey, and a mynah bird.
- Engine 51 from "Emergency!" also appeared in a fire
training film titled "Countdown to Disaster."
- The actor who played Dr. Early, Bobby Troup, and the actress who
played Nurse Dixie McCall, Julie London were actually married to
each other at one time.
