We just got Active Life: Extreme Challenge Bundle with Mat for Wii this Christmas, and I highly recommend it for helping your fitness goals mingled with a little fun. It’s available at Amazon right now.
The game play is pretty simple even for us older types that rarely play video games. My favorite game that it’s included is the “Inline Skating” friend competition. Two people basically run in place on the large game floor mat. The faster you go the faster your skates go, while also jumping a couple of hurdles. Great exercise to prepare one for football. It’s like a mini sprint and really works the calves.
“Double Dutch” isn’t too shabby either. Basically you have to jump the virtual rope. Also the “Rock Climbing” is pretty fun. You have to get on the floor and try to go through the motions of climbing as fast as you can while dodging the rocks being thrown down from above by your opponent.
Of course there were a couple of games we haven’t figured out yet that seemed kind of lame like the BMX one where you are supposed to jump your bike in place. There is also a BMX race game that’s pretty fun though.
