| Give A Little, Take A Little: A montage of the
Miami strip club scene fades to Gina and Trudy laughing at each
other's choices in undercover wardrobe (Or is it just underwear?).
Sonny and Rico are getting nowhere until they visit the Noog-man,
who hints at a warehouse's worth of speed. Meanwhile, two mutilated
bodies of call girls washed up in Broward County, formerly in the
employ of a major pimp named Lobo Ramirez. Castillo has is picture,
and Gina and Trudy will be going undercover to nail him. As Gina
says, "They haven't invented a tricky situation we can't
handle." Well, no one picks them up that night except Stan and
Larry. But inside the club, Trudy must restrain Larry from
interfering when they see Gina being handled by Ramirez's frontman,
Cinco. Down at the warehouse, Sonny and Rico watch the drop, then
shake down Bob Rickert, the warehouse's 'security guard', who
worriedly gives up the dope's destination and its receiver's name,
Sallie Alvarado. They get a shotgun blast for a reception at the
address the next morning, and the Alvarado leads them on a
gunplay-filled chase down the beachfront, but he's eventually
captured. Later on as he's being bailed out, his lawyer Richard Cain
calls Sonny and Rico to his office, demanding he be given the name
of their informant. Sonny refuses, going to Castillo and asking that
Rickert be put in police protection. Atty. Cain has already
subpoenaed all the case's documentation. Sonny continues to refuse
to give up Rickert, even at the Alvarado's hearing, and the judge
holds him in contempt. After his release, his round of applause is
short-lived when he hears that Rickert gave himself up to Cain, who
scared him into not testifying. Alvarado is walking, having spent
less time in behind bar than Sonny did! Meanwhile, Gina has met with
Ramirez and managed to talk her way into moving up from streetwalker
to call-out girl. He calls her to his mansion offering her the deal
that she becomes his latest $1,000 lady, as long as she also goes as
his escort to trips and meetings. Gina accepts a dinner invitation
from him, but ends up falling out with Trudy when she objects that
Gina is getting in over her head. The worst is yet to come. Gina
finds out that no one else is coming to dinner, and that's not all
Ramirez wants from her. She tries to insist that they should keep it
strictly business, but Ramirez reveals that she's been marked as a
possible informant. Trudy was right, but Gina must surrender to the
situation. Across town, Noogie has another informant meet with Sonny
and Rico, who tells them that Alvarado is an enforcer for Ramirez,
and he's having a girl taken out tonight-Gina! As Sonny and Rico
race to her apartment, Trudy is already there, trying to comfort her
defiled partner. Sonny climbs the stairs inside, only to draw fire
from Cinco, who just blew the hit! The gunshots warn Trudy, who
draws her gun and fires out the window, disabling Cinco before he
can escape. Scared that he's going to die, Cinco gives up Alvarado,
informing Sonny that he's going after Rickert, but he can be found
at Club Ocho. The ambulance arrives, and the cops take off. At the
club, Stan takes the stage posing as a stand-up comic, only drawing
laughs from Larry in the audience. The diversion works as Alvarado
is arrested quietly. The next morning Gina and Trudy walk into
Ramirez's mansion, their guns drawn. Alvarado has told them
everything, so no matter what, he's going down. In disbelief,
Ramirez grabs a knife off the table. Despite Gina's warning, he
advances on her, and she fatally shoot him. Sonny arrives as the
body is being taken away. Gina falls, sobbing, into his arms. |
