Basically, what I have to say I already said here. I've been working with web hosts at least since the late 1990's and I've went through a few. Usually, I get disgusted or find a better deal that fits my website needs. Bluehost has met most of the requirements I had and some things I probably hadn't originally thought of like putting 6 domains on one account. Well you can put 5 existing sites and then get a free domain with them making a total of 6. I've had pretty good luck with their tech support, but thankfully I haven't even had to call them in good while. They seem to be pretty knowledgeable or they can find someone who does know what's going on. I've had times with other web hosts where I wanted to choke the tech support for stupidity. I've been hanged up on at least 2-3 times by one web host before I could even get the problem out, and it wasn't because I was rude or hateful.
I plan on listing a lot of web hosts on this site. I'm honestly trying to make a buck, but I will only recommend personally webhosts I use. Bluehost at this point I'm using and have been quite satisfied. I've move at least half of my sites with them. It's just plain economical. They keep improving giving more in bandwidth and webspace every year. For most web sites you can't go wrong. And their program is perfect for starting a mini empire of sites with just one account. I love the cpanel. You get free scripts installed easily with the Fantasitco link. You can easily install content management systems, blogs, customer relationship scripts, message boards, eCommerce shopping carts, faqs, guestbook, image galleries, mailing lists, polls and surveys, site builders, and more. These are just cool extras they throw in. The scripts come from third parties so there's no tech support for them, but they are just a very nice touch to help webmasters on their way in easily creating a site. It's been a few months since I've even noticed any down time. I used to see a minute here or there. I'm on the internet all day long so that's a pretty good sign. Of course if I had noticed constant downtime I would move to another web host in no time. Check them out. If you've had any different experiences good or bad please post them here. |
